Industry Specific Online Training
Off-the-shelf training has its place, offering low cost solutions to common training needs. However, when it comes to addressing the specific needs of your industry, you’d need to commission bespoke courses. This approach ensures that the content perfectly matches your needs, uses the correct language and addresses the audience in the appropriate tone. The problem for most individual businesses is justifying the costs, particularly if the audience is relatively small. The great news is we have a solution.
At Cortexa we specialise in working with a multitude of trade bodies, associations and federations which are prevalent across the UK business sectors. These organisations are always keen to offer additional services to their members and recognise that well trained businesses provide benefits for all. So if you’d like to see the development of core industry training but cannot individually justify the costs then why not introduce us to your trade body? Together we can demonstrate how a project of this nature can work commercially and show the benefits experienced by others we have partnered with.
One of our longest partnerships of this type has been with the Builders Merchants Federation. The BMF represents the interests of the builders’ merchants, plumbing, heating, roofing, decorative and timber merchants and their suppliers in the UK and Ireland. Cortexa hosts and curates the “BMF Campus” learning management system which includes a library of product training and the bespoke “BMF Building Blocks” courses. Each of these blocks teaches core industry specific skills and was created in partnership with Merchants and their suppliers to provide the most up to date, relevant information. The resulting continuous programme of courses is still ongoing but is expected to result in over 30 Building Blocks, each averaging approximately 10 hours of learning.
If your business challenges and staff learning would benefit from bespoke training and your industry has a membership association, federation or trade body, then contact us now. We will happily explain how the process might work and help you consider the options.
