Cortexa eLearning solution wins award


wood for good’s Online Learning resource, www.timberacademy.co.uk has won the Best Technical Information Support Award at this year’s Timber Trade Journal Awards.
The TRADA backed award is designed to promote the importance of providing current, comprehensive technical data and support services on the use of wood and wood products in construction.
The Awards panel agreed that www.timberacademy.co.uk was the strongest entry and the deserving winner. Andrew Abbott, Managing Director of TRADA and TTJ Awards Judge, said:
“The judging panel felt this entry shows good ambition and is a great new form of flexible learning. The resource can readily be expanded and updated as new information becomes available. The use of web-based tools is wholly appropriate for the intended purpose.”
Cortexa has worked with wood for good over the past 3 years to build a creative learning environment which allows architects and professionals 24-hour access to technical and practical information about wood and wood products, including the latest information on issues such as certification and climate change.
