The need for value...

Viessmann, based in Telford, are a leading European manufacturer of heating, renewable technologies and climate control products. These products are marketing through a number of appropriate channels including major distribution partnerships with the BSS Group and the Grafton Group in the UK. “Within the branches where the training has been completed, we have seen an uplift in sales which is quite dramatic, and certainly justifies the investment in Cortexa.”

Graham Russell, Head of UK Domestic Sales & Marketing at Viessmann needed an effective way of delivering training within merchant branches. The solution would need to be uncomplicated and provide good value for money.

Viessmann’s distribution partners suggested that Graham talks to Cortexa to see if the merchant academy network would meet Viessmann’s needs for merchant training.

Graham Russell said “Cortexa’s service provided a very simple, cost effective solution for communicating with branch staff and getting some feedback on learning as well.”

Graham also felt there were other advantages to the courses developed by Cortexa; “It’s far easier for individuals at branches to do the training in their own time than for a salesman to go and train them one at a time”.

When it came to the production process, Graham said “Working with Cortexa was very easy”.

The success of the merchant based e-learning has seen the partnership grow over 2010, with plans for 2011 to continue developing new content. This includes a bespoke academy for installers, aimed at supporting the technical element of Viessmann products.
